DC vs Marvel Impact Subset

In 1995, Fleer/Skybox International published a trading card set called DC versus Marvel. The chase cards included an embossed 9-card mural painted by Boris (the Impact chase set - there was another by Julie Bell). For my own amusement, I assembled the 9 images into the single image so that I could see the continuous image, which I show in reduced form here. This is, of course, comic art, but Boris and Julie elevate it to new levels, unsurprisingly.

Hyborian Gates

This is a sample of the appearance of the Hyborian Gates cards; the backs are identical, with an abstract design. This image is detail from Joust.

Star Trek Master Series

This was a fully-painted card set issued by Skybox. There were three 3-card murals included as insert cards, i.e. three cards could be assembled to make a single image. One was by Joe Jusko, and featured characters from the original Star Trek; one was by Rowena Morrill and featured characters from Star Trek: Deep Space 9; the third was by Boris and featured characters from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Keepsake Collections

There have been four Keepsake Collections, each one being individually numbered. The set consists of six cards printed in a 6 x 9 inch size, a mini-sheet which contains all six images, each image being in the standard 2.5 x 3.5 inch trading card size. In addition there is, for the first two, a card printed with a circular Fresnel-pattern refractive backdrop on cloth stock. The background appears to float some distance behind the image, and is an attractive effect, but it doesn't scan well. The collections are called Beasts, featuring an assortment of monsters, Buns, featuring women's rumps, Beauties And Beasts, featuring beautiful women with monsters, and Future Worlds, featuring high-tech environments.
